1.8k Residents in Davao de Oro Town Benefit from Healthcare and Social Services

Davao de oro: Through a coordinated multi-agency effort, a total of 1,834 residents in Barangay Nuevo Iloco in Mawab, Davao de Oro, benefited from a caravan of services.

According to Philippines News Agency, Mayor Myrill Apit announced in a post-event press release that the 'My Real Serbisyo Caravan' delivered a comprehensive package of government services on Thursday. Among the services provided, 470 residents received free health services, which included 212 medical consultations, 128 dental procedures, and 130 circumcisions.

Social welfare assistance was also distributed, supporting 10 solo parents, 28 senior citizens, and eight persons with disabilities. Mayor Apit emphasized the importance of these initiatives to ensure accessible and responsive assistance tailored to community needs.

In the agriculture sector, 25 residents benefited from anti-rabies vaccinations, 32 were supplied with corn planting materials, and 15 received services from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Additionally, civil registration services reached 96 residents, 269 received assistance from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and five completed transactions with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Mayor Apit highlighted the significance of continuous outreach efforts to ensure inclusivity across all sectors. She described the 'My Real Serbisyo Caravan' as a tangible commitment to delivering government services directly to the populace and affirmed plans to expand the caravan's reach to strengthen inclusive and people-centered service delivery throughout the villages.
