The National Capital Region (NCR) is now with very low risk classification for Covid-19 with only 91 new cases reported per day from December 6 to 12, the OCTA Research Group said Monday.
“The incidence or average daily attack rate (ADAR) decreased to less than one at 0.64 per 100,000 [individuals] while the reproduction number was very low at 0.39,” an OCTA latest report said.
It added that NCR’s positivity rate is 0.9 percent.
The 13 local government units (LGUs) in the NCR classified as very low risk include Pateros, Caloocan, Las Piñas, Mandaluyong, Parañaque, Marikina, Pasig, Navotas, Valenzuela, San Juan, Manila, Pasay and Taguig.
Among the 13 LGUs, Pateros logged a -100 percent growth rate with no new infections recorded and a 20 percent health care utilization rate (HCUR).
Meantime, the four other LGUs in the region were classified low risk due to their HCURs ranging from 31 to 37 percent and intensive care unit utilization rate (ICUR) ranging from 33 to 61 percent.
The four LGUs are Muntinlupa, Quezon City, Malabon and Makati. Muntinlupa logged the highest ICUR at 61 percent.
On Sunday, the Department of Health said 26 percent of 1,200 ICU beds, 19 percent of 4,700 isolation beds, 19 percent of 3,800 ward beds, and 17 percent of 1,000 ventilators dedicated to patients with Covid-19 are in use in the NCR.
PNP logs only 3 new cases
As of Monday, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported only three new cases of Covid-19 infections among its personnel.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases to 42,234 since the start of the pandemic last year, with only 30 active infections.
The PNP also recorded two new recoveries, raising the number of recovered police personnel to 42,079.
Deaths remained at 125 as no new fatalities were reported.
Meanwhile, the number of PNP personnel fully vaccinated or who have received two doses of any Covid-19 vaccine were placed at 94.65 percent or 213,532 persons.
About 4.66 percent or around 10,518 have received their first jab and are waiting for their second dose.
And those who remained unvaccinated remained at 0.68 percent or equivalent to 1,542 police personnel.
