LA Lakers taste 117-102 home victory over Boston Celtics

Los Angeles Lakers tasted a 117-102 home win against Boston Celtics on Tuesday.

Boston Celtics had a good start at the beginning, building a 33-31 lead at the end of the first quarter.

But the Lakers had a 5-point advantage at the end of the first half, 60-55 at the Staples Center. By the end of the third period, the Lakers were leading 91-75 as the Celtics only scored 20 points.

Despite falling behind 27-26 in the final quarter, Los Angeles controlled the remainder of the game and extended their lead down the stretch.

Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook posted a double-double for the Lakers.

Davis scored 17 points and 16 rebounds while Russell Westbrook produced 24 points and 11 assists.

LeBron James finished with a 30-point performance.

For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum, who scored his team’s first 14 points in the first 3:49 hit four 3-pointers among his five shots without a miss was the highest scorer.

The All-Star forward produced 34 points.

Josh Richardson came off the bench to add 11 points.

Meanwhile, Boston guard Jaylen Brown missed the clash due to his right hamstring.

With this win, six-placed LA Lakers improved their season record to 13 wins and 12 defeats in the West standings.
