Anti-narcotic agents arrested Tuesday a big-time drug peddler here and seized some PHP1.36 million worth of suspected shabu.
Kath Abad, spokesperson of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Soccsksargen (PDEA-12), identified the suspect as Nasrudin Minandang, 29, of Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.
“He is a high-value target,” Abad said of the suspect who agreed to sell the illegal shabu to an undercover agent during a buy-bust at about 1 p.m.
Minandang was arrested after he handed over the stuff and received the boodle money or fake bills from an undercover agent beside a restaurant along the national highway in Barangay Poblacion 8.
PDEA agents seized 200 grams of shabu in three huge packs with a street value of PHP1.36 million.
Abad said the operation was participated in by the Army’s 34th Infantry Battalion.
Minandang is now detained at the Midsayap police custodial facility while charges are being prepared against him for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
