Bacolod drug suspect yields PHP272-K shabu

A drug personality was arrested by joint operatives of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) during a buy-bust at his residence in First Road, Barangay Taculing on Tuesday morning.

The suspect was identified as Crisvie Jimena, 32, considered a street-level individual.

At 12:55 a.m., Jimena sold suspected shabu worth PHP500 to a poseur-buyer during the operation conducted by the drug enforcement team of Police Station 5, together with the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).

Jimena yielded 16 plastic sachets containing the same prohibited substance, weighing about 40 grams, with an estimated value of PHP 272,000.

The suspect is currently detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 5.

The arrest of Jimena is the latest in the series of buy-bust operations of the Bacolod police that yielded major hauls of suspected shabu.

On December 10, operatives of Police Station 8 collared Elizabeth Gonzales, 42, at her residence in Purok Kahirup B, Barangay Mansilingan.

The suspect, a newly-identified drug personality, was found in possession of about 50 grams of the prohibited substance worth PHP340,000.

On December 9, Ernesto Cardeñas, who yielded about 28 grams of suspected shabu valued PHP190,400, was arrested by CDEU personnel in Purok Neptune, Barangay Singcang-Airport.
