MANILA Senators Cynthia Villar and Manny Pacquiao retained their rankings as the richest and second richest members of the Senate, respectively, based on their 2017 statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALNs) released Thursday.
Villar's declared net worth as of Dec. 31, 2017 was pegged at PHP3,611,260,766 while Pacquiao declared a net worth of PHP2,946,315,029.93 in his SALN.
Senator Ralph Recto remained as the third richest senator with a net worth of PHP538,889,914, while Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri came in fourth with a net worth of PHP152,094,252.
Senator Juan Edgardo "Sonny" Angara, who was formerly the fourth richest based on his 2016 SALN, slid down to fifth with a net worth of PHP131,765,860.
Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon came in sixth with a declared net worth of PHP93,727,005.
Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III is ranked 11th with a net worth of PHP64,730,400 while Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III is the 18th richest senator with a net worth of PHP18,110,000.
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV remained as the poorest member of the Senate with a declared net worth of PHP6,871,743.
Detained Senator Leila de Lima came in as the second poorest with a net worth of PHP7,944,973 while Senator Francis Escudero is third to last at PHP8,502,082.
