Two days before the Traslacion to mark the feast of the Black Nazarene, the procession of the replicas of the Black Nazarene will be held on January 7.
Msgr. Hernando Coronel said Saturday's procession will start at 2 pm. at the vicinity of Quiapo Church.
It will start at Plaza Miranda, turn left in Quezon Boulevard, left Ramon St., right Evangelista St., right C.M. Recto St., right Loyola St., right Bilibid Viejo St., left Gil Puyat St., left Z.P. de Guzman St. (Mendoza St.), right R. Hidalgo St., left Barbosa St. (Bautista St.) thru Globo de Oro St., left Quezon Blvd. thru under Quezon Bridge thru Palanca St., Villalobos St. and left Plaza Miranda.
The replicas, which will come from various parts of the country, will be blessed by Coronel and the Parochial Vicars.
Some 20,000 people, mostly devotees of the Black Nazarene, are expected to attend the procession.
On the other hand, the celebration at the Quirino Grandstand will start on January 8, where the Black Nazarene from the Quiapo Church becomes accessible for a larger crowd of devotees to kiss and touch. This is known as the "pahalik."
The day of the feast, January 9, will commence with a celebration of Holy Mass with Priest Presider, Msgr. Hernando Coronel and Homilist, His Eminence, Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle at 12 midnight.
The long procession commemorating the Traslacion from Luneta to Quiapo will start after the morning prayer.
