MANILA The tailend of a cold front will affect the eastern section of northern Luzon on Saturday.
In a weather bulletin issued at 4 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Cagayan, the Babuyan Islands, Isabela, and Apayao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the cold front.
The Cordillera region, Ilocos provinces, northern Aurora, and the rest of Cagayan Valley, meanwhile, will have cloudy skies with scattered light rains brought by the northeast monsoon.
For Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA said localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.
According to PAGASA's forecast on wind and coastal water conditions, there will be strong winds heading northeast in northern Luzon, with rough waves reaching 2.5 meters to 6 meters high.
In the Visayas and the rest of Luzon, moderate to strong winds will blow northeast to north, resulting in moderate to rough coastal waters with waves measuring about 1.2 meters to 4 meters.
For Mindanao, there will be light to moderate winds going northeast to northwest, resulting in slight to moderate waves in its coasts about 0.6 meter to 2.5 meters.
Temperature in Metro Manila will range from 24C to 32C; Laoag City, 23C to 26C; Tagaytay City, 20C to 28C; Legazpi City, 25C to 31C; Bacolod City/Iloilo City, 25C to 32C; Cagayan de Oro City, 23C to 32C; and Metro Davao, 25C to 32C. (PNA)
