State Service for Executionof Punishments and ICRC sign memorandum on further cooperation

Frst deputy chairman of the State Service for Execution of Punishments (SSEP) of the Kyrgyz Republic Orozbek Enteriev met today with head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission in Kyrgyzstan Stephen Jacquier and coordinators of the ICRC. The press service of the SSEP reports.

The Head of the mission presented a report on the assess of needs of the prison health system in 2015. Stephen Jacquier also stressed that the ICRC leadership during a visit to Kyrgyzstan appreciated the organization of work in the TB hospital in the colony #31.

He also said that the representatives of the Philippines and China have expressed their desire to visit Kyrgyzstan to study the experience in combating and treating tuberculosis in the penitentiary system of the republic.

Then, the coordinator of the Department on Construction and Water Supply Angelina Adler spoke about the activities of the Mission for the protection and maintenance of buildings in the GSIN institutions.

At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum on further cooperation is signed between the State Service for Execution of Punishments and the ICRC.
