MANILA The southwest monsoon (habagat) will continue to bring rains in most areas of Luzon.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4 a.m. forecast that affected areas include Region IV-A (Calabarzon) and the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon. Metro Manila and Central Luzon will also experience rain showers.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Luzon while Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, tropical storm "Nimfa" (international name Tapah) was last observed at 580 kilometers east northeast of Basco, Batanes and packing winds of 75 km per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 25-29 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 22-29 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 15-20 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 26-33 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 25-32 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
