SENATOR Cynthia Villar is scheduled to arrive in Negros Occidental on Thursday, April 14, to be the keynote speaker for the opening rites of the 25th National Hog Convention and Trade Exhibits at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.
The event, set from April 14 to 16, is organized by the province in collaboration with the National Federation of Hog Farmers Inc. and Pork Producers Federation of the Philippines Inc.
The opening rites will start at 9:30 a.m., to be followed by a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and blessing of the trade exhibits.
Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. confirmed Wednesday that Senate President Franklin Drilon will also arrive on Friday to grace the opening of the 23rd Panaad sa Negros Festival at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan.
Aside from Drilon, former Senator Francis Pangilinan will also come for the Panaad Festival, he added. (TDE)
