MANILA Scattered rains will prevail over the country on Monday, according to the latest advisory from the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its latest bulletin, PAGASA said the Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains due to the northeast monsoon.
The Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas, meanwhile, will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the trough of a low-pressure area.
PAGASA warned against possible flash floods or landslides caused by light to moderate with occasional heavy rains over these areas.
Metro Manila and the other parts of Luzon will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to the northeast monsoon.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Northern and Central Luzon and the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Palawan will also have strong to gale winds, causing coastal waters to be rough or very rough.
The other parts of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas will also experience moderate to strong winds.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds, causing slight to moderate coastal waters. (PNA)
