MANILA -- The northeast monsoon affecting northern Luzon, and the tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern section of southern Luzon and eastern Visayas, will bring scattered rains over parts of the country on Saturday, said the state weather bureau.
Bicol, eastern Visayas, Quezon, Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms because of the tail end of a cold front, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The northeast monsoon will also cause cloudy skies with scattered rains over the Cordillera region, Cagayan Valley, and Aurora, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, Ilocos and the rest of central Luzon.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms, PAGASA said.
Meanwhile, strong to gale force winds will prevail over northern Luzon and the eastern part of central and southern Luzon, and Visayas. Coastal waters along these areas will be rough to very rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be moderate to strong with moderate to rough seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
