MANILA-- Court employees nationwide will start their Holy Week break on Holy Wednesday noon onwards, Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno announced on Tuesday.
"In order to allow court personnel to more fully observe the Holy Week, the Chief Justice has authorized a half-day work schedule (8-12, unless other internal schedules apply) for all courts nationwide fro April 12, 2017, Wednesday," SC spokesperson Theodore Te said in a statement.
Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are regular holidays, while Black Saturday is a special non-working holiday.
The SC justices will resume their summer session in Baguio City after the Holy Week.
