Muscat: A special project to honour His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said (may Allah protect him) announced by the administration of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos' personal website has been welcomed by the presidents of India and the Philippines.
The project will see a unique and very beautiful publication portraying His Majesty’s character and achievements through the eyes of eminent dignitaries who have been touched by the elevated personality and benevolent leadership of His Majesty translated into 30 different languages in which HM’s website can be accessed.
This book, ‘Oman-Qaboos,’ would be presented as Oman's gift to Heads of States and other leaders throughout the world.
Hamoud Al Azri, General Supervisor, announced that the project to publish the book has just started and it will be published in all the thirty languages in which HM’s website can be accessed.
The initiative will be carried out jointly by the website and various embassies accredited to the Sultanate.
These embassies will be involved in the translation of the biography of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said (may Allah protect him).
Al Azri stated that the book will be very special since all those countries in whose native language the website has been translated will contribute a testimonial from their Head of State as introduction to the publication in that language.
"I am very proud to announce that I have just received letters of appreciation and publication testimonials from Hon’ble Pranab Mukherjee, President of India, and Hon’ble Benigno Aquino III, President of the Republic of the Philippines, which came with the support of their excellencies the ambassadors," Al Azri said.
Other embassies are following up with their respective governments to have the contributing testimonial so that the book can be published.
His Majesty's is the first website dedicated to a Head of State, capable of addressing its visitors in 30 languages. This will be achieved by the end of this year. "We have set ourselves high targets to meet our future goals, with the aim that the world will recognise the great personality and accomplishments of His Majesty," Alazri said.
