Despite registering their first win after three AFC Cup matches, Selangor conceded three goals in the 4-3 victory against Bangladesh club, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Ltd Club at the Bangabhandu National Stadium in Bangladesh, last night.
Selangor have now conceded six goals in two matches, three against Sheikh Jamal and another three in the 1-3 loss to Terengganu in a Super League match on March 12.
"I feel we made far too many mistakes to concede three goals in the match although the players showed good determination to fightback when trailing in the match," said Zainal as quoted in the Football Association of Selangor's official website www.faselangor.my.
Selangor scored through Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh in the 38th minute, R. Gopinathan (53rd min), Mauro Olivi (69th and 82nd mins) while Sheikh Jamal scored its three goals through Landing Darboe (28th min), Emeka Onuoha (64th min) and Wedson Alselme (65th min).
Selangor will face Sheikh Jamal at the Shah Alam Stadium on April 12 while Ceres La Salle FC from the Philippines will await the arrival of Tampines Rovers for their Group E home match on the same date.
After three AFC Cup matches, Tampines Rovers from Singapore head Group E with seven points, followed by Ceres La Salle with five while Selangor are third with four points.
