MANILA The Philippine National Police's office that regulates the operation of security agencies, including keeping in check all the security guards detailed at different establishments, has a new chief.
In a message to reporters Wednesday, PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac confirmed that Col. Michael John Dubria was designated as the new head of the Supervisory Office on Security and Investigation Agencies (SOSIA).
Dubria replaces Brig. Gen. Noli Romana, who has reached the mandatory retirement age of 56.
"Police Major General Reynaldo Biay, Director of Civil Security Group presided over the simple turnover and directed Police Col. Dubria to continue on the tasks and programs left by Police Brig. Gen. Romana especially the upgrading of systems and equipment, heeding the call of PRRD to stamp out corruption and better serve the civil security industry," Banac said.
Dubria is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class 1991. (PNA)
