MANILA MalacaAang on Sunday extended condolences to Indonesia after a deadly earthquake and tsunami reportedly left more than 400 people in Central Sulawasi last Friday.
We join the people of Indonesia in offering our prayers to the hundreds who died after a powerful 7.4 earthquake and tsunami hit Central Sulawesi last Friday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a press statement.
Roque said the Philippines is ready to respond and extend assistance to its fellow member of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
He said the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced that the only Filipino in the area is safe.
DFA Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano expressed 'grief' with the Indonesian people and stand hand in hand with them in prayer for all of those who lost their lives. (PNA)
