MANILA-- Most parts of the archipelago will experience rains on Friday due to the southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Central and southern Luzon, Visayas, and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 24-hour forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol, Mimaropa, Calabarzon and central Luzon.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow from southwest will over central and southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Light to moderate winds will blow from east to southeast over the rest of Luzon with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
