MANILA -- The country may experience occasional heavy rains on Thursday, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
It added the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is affecting southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
According to PAGASA, cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and possible occasional heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning will prevail over Visayas, Mimaropa, Bicol, Zamboanga Peninsula and Dinagat Islands.
Metro Manila will experience isolated light to moderate rainshowers and occasional heavy rains, lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, light to moderate winds will blow from southwest to southeast over Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao, and from east to southeast over the rest of Luzon.
