MANILA-- Metro Manila and other parts of the country will experience occasional heavy rains on Thursday as the southwest monsoon continues to affect the entire archipelago, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 24-hour forecast, PAGASA cited Metro Manila, Visayas, Ilocos, Cordillera, central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Caraga, northern Mindanao, Davao and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and possible occasional heavy rains and gusty winds.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, it added.
Moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow from southwest over northern and western section of Luzon. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough, PAGASA said.
