MANILA -- The low pressure area (LPA) spotted 70 kilometers east northeast of Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur will continue to bring rains over Visayas and Mindanao on Tuesday.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms, which may trigger flash floods and landslides, will be experienced over eastern Visayas, Caraga, northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula and Bohol.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms is expected over the rest of Visayas and of Mindanao, PAGASA added.
Cloudy Skies with light rains will prevail over Cagayan Valley, Mimaropa, Bicol and provinces of Aurora and Quezon, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail over the rest of Luzon.
PAGASA weather forecaster Loriedin dela Cruz also cited that the tail-end of a cold front is affecting Visayas.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from northeast will prevail over Luzon, Visayas and Caraga. Coastal waters over these areas will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, PAGASA said winds will be light to moderate coming from northeast to north with slight to moderate seas.(PNA)
