Cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms that may trigger flash floods and landslides will be experienced over the provinces of Cagayan Valley and Aurora, the state weather bureau, PAGASA, said Friday.
Cloudy skies with light rains are expected over the Ilocos and Cordillera regions.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the archipelago.
According to PAGASA, the tail-end of a cold front is affecting the eastern part of northern and central Luzon.
Moderate to strong winds will blow from the northeast over northern and central Luzon, and coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from east to northeast with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA added.
Meanwhile, the bureau earlier cited that thunderstorm is more likely to develop over northern Mindanao and Davao within 12 hours.
PAGASA urges residents of these areas to take precautionary measures against strong winds and possible flash floods and landslides.
