MANILA -- Cloudy skies and rains may continue to prevail over most parts of the archipelago on Sunday, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 24-hour forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flash floods and landslides may prevail over Bicol region and in northern and eastern Samar.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms is expected over the rest of Visayas, Quezon, Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Mindanao.
PAGASA weather forecaster Shelly Ignacio said moderate to strong winds will blow from northeast over Luzon, and coming from northeast to northwest over Visayas. Coastal waters over these areas will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from northeast to northwest with slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
