MANILA�Typhoon Paeng (international name Trami) intensifies but is still far away and will not directly affect the country.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said as of 4 a.m. Monday, "Paeng" was last observed at 1,100 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. Its wind intensity is packing a maximum of 170 kilometers per hour (kph), gustiness of up to 210 kph and moving west at 20 kph.
PAGASA said Paeng might affect extreme northern Luzon, from Batanes to Babuyan Group of Islands by Friday (Sept. 28).
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorm.
Temperature in Manila ranges from 24-33 Celsius; Tuguegarao City 23-34 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 15-23 degrees Celsius; Angeles City 24-32 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 24-32 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 24-33 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
