Ozamiz City’s ‘most wanted’ siblings fall in Caraga

The Police Regional Office in the Caraga Region (PRO-13) reported Monday the arrest of the most wanted siblings from Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental.

Brig. Gen. Romeo Caramat Jr., PRO-13 director, said suspects Dionesio Tapayan, 54; and Reymundo Tapayan, 48, were arrested in an operation Sunday afternoon in Brgy. Bayugan 3, Rosario, Agusan del Sur.

“The Tapayan brothers are considered number one and two most wanted persons in Ozamiz City,” Caramat said.

He said the suspects have standing arrest warrants issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 15 in Ozamiz City.

The two are the main suspects in the killing of a man on October 3, 2004, in Barangay Capucao Proper, Ozamiz City.

“This apprehension is part of our police operative’s continuous effort to capture persons with warrants of arrest, hold them accountable, and render justice to the victims,” Caramat said.
