MANILA The southwest monsoon or habagat will continue to bring scattered rains and thunderstorm over northern Luzon on Wednesday.
In its 4 a.m. forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the southwest monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers, due to localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the weather bureau is monitoring a severe tropical storm with international name Jebi outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
It was spotted 3,485 kilometers east of Central Luzon with maximum winds of 100 kilometers per hour (kph), gustiness up to 120 kph and moving west at 20 kph.
Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 25-32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 25-33 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 15-21 degrees Celsius; Angeles City 24-32 degrees Celsius; Lipa City 24-32, Metro Cebu 26-33 and Metro Davao 24-33 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
