More Manila-Japan flights canceled due to ‘Hagibis’

MANILA -- More airlines have announced the cancelation of Manila-Japan flights on Saturday, Manila International Airport Authority's (MIAA) record showed.

There are now 27 flights between Japan and the Philippines that were canceled. These include:

Japan Airlines (JL) 746, 742, 745 Manila-Narita

Jetstar Japan (GK) 40 Manila-Narita

Delta Airlines (DL) 180/181 Manila-Narita-Manila

Local carriers Philippine Airlines (PR) and Cebu Pacific have already announced the cancelation of a number of their Japan flights supposedly scheduled for Saturday.

All Nippon Airways (NH) flights 820/819 Manila-Narita-Manila, and NH 870/869 Manila-Haneda-Manila were also canceled.

For Sunday, meanwhile, six flights have already been canceled:

PR 423 Tokyo Haneda-Manila

PR 431 Tokyo Narita-Manila

NH 819/820 Narita-Manila-Narita

NH 869/870 Haneda-Manila-Haneda

Typhoon Hagibis reportedly began lashing Japan on Saturday morning and is expected to make landfall later in the day. (PNA)
