Isolated rains to prevail over PHL due to northeast monsoon Sunday

MANILA-- Isolated rains may prevail as northeast monsoon is affecting the whole archipelago, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday.

In its 24-hour forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with light rains is expected over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Bicol, eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley and the provinces of Aurora, Quezon and Rizal.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, it added.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds blowing from northeast will prevail over Luzon, Visayas and eastern Mindanao.

Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from northeast to north with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
