Isolated light rains likely to prevail ’til Thursday as northeast monsoon affects PHL

MANILA-- Isolated light rains is expected until Thursday as northeast monsoon affects the whole country.

In its 5 p.m. bulletin issued Wednesday, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), said cloudy skies with light rains is expected over Luzon, eastern and central Visayas, Davao, Caraga, and moderate over Aurora province.

The rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, it added.

Weather forecaster Obet Badrina said moderate to strong winds blowing from northeast will prevail over the entire archipelago with moderate to rough seas.

Meanwhile, thunderstorm affecting portions of Camiguin, Bukidnon, Compostela Valley, Davao, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and Agusan del Sur Wednesday afternoon may last until 7 p.m.

PAGASA urges residents in those areas to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods. (PNA)
