MANILA The trough of Tropical Depression Ineng will bring rains over most parts of the country on Wednesday.
In its 4 a.m. forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Visayas, the regions of Mimaropa, Bicol, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms
At 3 a.m., the center of Ineng was spotted at 975 km. east of Virac, Catanduanes, with maximum sustained winds of 55 km. per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.
It was moving north at 10 kph but was not expected to make landfall.
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon will affect extreme northern Luzon. Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Temperature in Metro Manila will range from 26 degrees to 32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City, 24 degrees to 35 degrees Celsius; Baguio City, 16 degrees to 33 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu, 26 degrees to 31 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao, 25 degrees to 32 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
