MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan-- Thousands of indigent Bulakenyos on Tuesday received special gifts of love in celebration of the birthday of President Rodrigo Duterte.
With a giant tarpaulin featuring a picture of President Duterte cuddling a baby boy emblazoned with the message Maligayang Kaarawan Tatay Digong as a backdrop, provincial officials headed by Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, Vice Governor Daniel Fernando, Provincial Social Welfare and Development chief Rowena J. Tiongson and Bulacan Medical Center (BMC) director Dr. Protacio Badjao distributed medical gadgets, medicines, wheelchairs and livelihood packages to thousands of marginalized Bulakenyos during the Kapitolyo sa Barangay-Alagang Kalusugan Medical Mission at the BMC compound here.
The program started with a holy mass and prayers for President Duterte.
The governor and vice governor then led the singing of a birthday song for the Chief Executive.
Alvarado said they are celebrating the 72nd birthday of President Duterte by providing free medical and dental services, free ECG and X-ray and distribution of free medical assistive devices and medicines to underprivileged Bulakenyos.
The medical mission will also provide free haircut services and massage (reflexology).
Alvarado and Fernando also distributed livelihood packages through the Bisikleta, Bilis Kita program of the provincial government.
They also distributed food packs after the indigents got free medical check-ups and medicines.
