Ilocos Norte ‘urgently’ needs nurses

The Ilocos Norte government, through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), is urgently in need of 55 nurses to be deployed in its public hospitals.

For interested applicants, Ann Marie Lizette B. Atuan, provincial manager of PESO, announced Monday that the program is under the Ilocos Norte government’s “Sagip Nars Program.”

It aims to sustain the steady employment of registered nurses and at the same time help the government contain the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

Atuan said the filing of application started on Monday and will end on Tuesday, May 17.

“An applicant must be a board passer and not employed in any hospital setting,” Atuan said in an interview Monday.

She added the application letter must be addressed to Governor Matthew Joseph Manotoc with a resume, a photocopy of the transcript of records, a certificate of board rating, a Professional Regulatory Commission card, and certificates of training and previous employment.

Interested applicants may send their requirements to ilocosnortepeso2021@gmail.com or apply directly via www.workinilocosnorte.ph.

Since 2004, the Sagip Nars Program of the Ilocos Norte government has employed more than 10,000 registered nurses from the province.
