MANILA-- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced that 59 of 405 examinees passed its Career Service Examination for Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO), held in nine regions last May 21.
Ma. Filonila Alcaraz from the National Capital Region (NCR) garnered the highest rating of 90.81.
In a news release issued Friday, the CSC said the resulting eligibility, called the Career Foreign Service Officer Eligibility, is appropriate for appointment to first- and second-level positions in government that do not involve practice of profession and are not covered by bar, board and other laws, and is comparable to Career Service Professional Eligibility.
The CSE-FSO also serves as the qualifying test, or the first of five parts, of the Foreign Service Officer Examination (FSOE) administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to recruit candidates for the position of FSO Class IV.
After passing this exam, the 59 new FSO eligibles could proceed to the next stages of the FSOE, but are not automatically qualified for the FSO Class IV position.
The remaining parts of the FSOE are the Preliminary Interview, Written Test, Psychological Test, and Oral Test, all administered by the DFA.
Completing the list of top examinees, all from NCR, are: Jeffrey Batac with a rating of 89.19; Aaron Erick Lozada and Dana Michelle del Rosario, 88.11; Ihna Alyssa Marie Santos and Christy Fe Conta, 87.03; Louie Dane Merced, 86.49; Jose Angelo Manuel, 85.95; Rosa Maria Ysobel Pareja, 85.41; and Jea Verayo and Reisha Olavario, 84.86.
The complete list of successful examinees is available at the CSC website.
According to the release, examinees, both passed and failed, may generate their individual test result through the Online Civil Service Examination Results Generation System on the CSC website starting July 16.
Passers may begin to claim their Certification of Eligibility by Aug. 2 at the CSC regional and field office, with jurisdiction over the place where they took the exam. They should check the availability of the certification first before going to the CSC regional/field office. Requirements and procedures in claiming the certification are detailed in CSC Examination Advisory No. 16, s. 2017 posted on the CSC website.
