Easterlies affecting eastern section of PH: PAGASA

MANILA � Generally fair weather will prevail over the country this Wednesday but with possible scattered rainshowers and heavy rains in the late afternoon or evening.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Atmospheric Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 24-hour forecast that easterlies are affecting the eastern section of the country.

Bicol region, Quezon, and Samar provinces will have cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies that may create possible flash floods or landslides due to light to moderate or at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms due to light to moderate or heavy rains in the evening.

The wind coming from the east to northeast will be moderate and coastal waters will be slight to moderate, said the state weather agency.
