On Saturday at about 9:51 p.m., a train with passengers on board, who were bound for the Santolan station, collided with an empty train parked on the tracks between the Cubao and Anonas stations.
The incident prompted the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) to suspend the operations of LRT-2.
DOTr Assistant Secretary for Communications Goddes Hope Libiran said LRT-2 resumed its operations with train insertion at 10:47 a.m. on Sunday.
The DOTr and LRTA earlier assured that it would shoulder the medical expenses of the persons injured and provide them assistance.
A fact-finding committee has been tasked to investigate the cause of the collision, make recommendations to prevent similar incidents, and assess the response and actions taken by the LRT-2 management. (PNA)
