MANILA--The Commission on Elections reminds the public that only 12 days remain before the registration period ends on 29 April 2017, as it resumes its voter registration today following a two-day break in observance of the Holy Week.
Spokesperson James Jimenez urges qualified registrants to troop to the COMELEC offices in their respective cities or municipalities or take advantage of satellite registration activities in their villages.
"New voter registrants' efforts will not go to waste even if the 23 October 2017 elections is postponed because once they register as a voter, they will be able to vote in succeeding regular and special elections wherein they are qualified," Jimenez added.
The Commission on Elections received a total of 2,174,601 applications for registration from 07 November 2016 to 25 March 2017 in the ongoing registration of voters nationwide.
