BSP to Hold the 14th Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for Stakeholders

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will hold the 2017 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for BSP Stakeholders on 11 July 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the BSP Assembly Hall, BSP Complex, Manila. The awards ceremony is now on its 14th year of giving recognition to institutional partners who have continuously supported the BSP's statistical initiatives, information requirements, advocacy programs, as well as the effective delivery of its functions.

The theme for this year's Awards Ceremony is Transforming Shared Visions into Dynamic Partnership. The BSP recognizes that its success in laying the foundations for a balanced, sustainable and inclusive economic growth depends largely on two factors the vision it shares with its stakeholders and the dynamic partnerships that have been forged through years of working steadfastly toward a common goal. The Chairman of the Monetary Board and Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Nestor A. Espenilla Jr., and this year's Chairman of the Board of Judges, Monetary Board Member Juan D. De ZuAiga, Jr., will lead in the presentation of awards.

Recognition will be given to the BSP's outstanding survey respondents and information partners who assist the BSP in formulating data-driven monetary policy through the Information Support Awards; the BSP's exemplary partners for their significant contribution in the BSP's programs on financial inclusion and education, consumer protection, payments and settlements, overseas Filipino remittances, coin recirculation, clean note policy, demonetization of the new design series, and even asset disposal through the Advocacy Support Awards; and the BSP's noteworthy partners for specialized BSP Programs through the Special Recognition Awards.

This year will be a big milestone for institutional partners who have shown consistent and outstanding support to the BSP's mandates and advocacy programs as this will be the first time that Gold Hall of Fame Awards will be accorded. In 2014, the Board of Judges emphasized that a distinction should be given to partner stakeholders who have won as outstanding partners for several consecutive years. As such, Gold, Diamond, and Platinum Hall of Fame Awards will be granted to awardees who win in the same award category for three (3), six (6), and nine (9) consecutive years, respectively.

A total of one hundred and fifty-one (151) awards will be given to outstanding stakeholders nationwide, forty-two (42) of which shall be given during the awards ceremony at the BSP head office, including the 5 awardees for the Gold Hall of Fame award. The remaining one hundred nine (109) awards shall be given to partner institutions in separate ceremonies outside the National Capital Region (NCR).
