A UN peacekeeper in Haiti says it is not a hindrance being a woman and having to lead fitness training for officers.

Sergeant Ermita Matutina, who is from the Philippines, is based in Haiti with the UN peacekeeping mission, MINUSTAH.

She’s in charge of daily fitness training for men and women.

She served in Haiti before the 2010 earthquake and made a point of going back in order to make a difference.

On International Day of UN Peacekeepers Monica Grayley asked Sergeant Matutina about her role in the mission.
