BAGUIO CITY-- Temperature in Baguio City dropped to 9.4�C, recorded on Monday (Feb. 13) morning at 4:30 a.m.
Letty Dispo of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the lowest temperature recorded for 2017 was at 9.2�C on Feb. 12.
7�C was recorded at Mt. Santo Tomas, standing 2,260 meters above sea level (MASL).
At Mount Pulag (2,922 masl), temperature as low as 2�C have been experienced in January 2017.
Low temperatures may still be experienced until the end of February and is attributed to the northeast monsoon from China and Mongolia, Dispo said.
The average temperature in the city is between 10 and 12�C.
Dispo added that Baguio City and the Province of Benguet will experience isolated light rains but will generally have a good weather condition throughout the week.
PAGASA-Baguio is anticipating a low temperature of about 7.5�C until end of February.
The coldest temperature recorded in 2016 was at 5 a.m. on Jan. 26 with a low of 10.8�C at the Central Business District. (PNA)
