6 flights cancelled due to bad weather

MANILA Six domestic flights were cancelled as of Thursday morning due to bad weather brought by Typhoon Ompong, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said.

The cancelled flights were:

PAL Express (2P) 2959/2960 Manila-Cotabato-Manila

Cebu Pacific (5J) 703/704 Manila-Dipolog-Manila

SkyJet (M8) 816/817 Manila-Basco-Manila

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said "Ompong" continues to threaten northern Luzon.

"Ompong" was last eyed at 725 km. east of Virac, Catanduanes, heading west at 20 kph. It has maximum sustained winds of 205 km. per hour (kph) near the center, and gustiness of up to 255 kph. (PNA)
