515 families in 2 regions pre-emptively evacuated due to ‘Auring’

In line with efforts to reduce casualties that may be brought by low pressure area formerly known as Tropical Depression "Auring," the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) announced that 515 families were pre-emptively evacuated in Regions XI and CARAGA.

This is equivalent to about 2,257 individuals, said NDRRMC executive director Ricardo Jalad.

Two barangays, Barangays Nueva Era and San Marcos, in Bunawan, Agusan Del Sur were reported flooded due to the swelling of the Bunawan River.

Three bridges and three road sections were also reported impassable in Agusan Del Sur and Surigao Del Sur due to flooding as of this posting.
