The death toll from the eruption of Mount Semeru in Lumajang District, East Java, rose to 13 as of Sunday morning, according to Head of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) Lt. Gen. The provincial government of Catanduanes has now allowed fully vaccinated travelers to enter the island province and lifted the required negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), saliva, and antigen test results for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). 97.8% of PH Covid-19 cases recover; active cases down to 13.8K

The country’s total number of recovered coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases has reached 2,771,536 after 1,047 new recoveries were reported on Sunday. In its latest case bulletin, the Department of Health (DOH) noted that recoveries account for 97.8 percent of the total case count of 2,834,775 since the start of the pandemic last year.
