2 arrested, P3.4-M ‘shabu’ seized in Maguindanao

NegOcc female cop charged for links to illegal gambling

A policewoman assigned at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) headquarters here was among the six charged before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office after they were linked to an illegal gambling operation in Hinigaran town. In a virtual press briefing on Friday, Col. Romy Palgue, police provincial director, said Master Sgt. Bebzie Nicor is charged with the violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which provides stiffer penalties for illegal gambling. New building to serve as evacuation hub in Surigao Sur town

The Department of Public Works and Highways in Caraga (DPWH-13) announced the completion of a new multi-purpose building that can also be used as an evacuation center in times of disasters and calamities for the people of Cortes, Surigao del Sur. In a statement on Saturday, DPWH-13 director Pol delos Santos said the newly completed multi-purpose building will also serve as a gymnasium where different important events of the town can be held. “The gym-like evacuation center complies with the order of President Rodrigo R. Manggahan Bridge one-way to Ortigas starting Aug. 2

Motorists should start mapping alternate routes as the Pasig City government will implement a one-way traffic scheme along Manggahan Bridge, from East Bank Road to West Bank Road, beginning Monday. In an advisory posted on social media, the city’s Public Information Office said the bridge will be exclusive to Ortigas-bound vehicles. Only vehicles coming from the side of East Bank Road headed toward West Bank Road are allowed to pass through the bridge. EJ Obiena qualifies for Tokyo Olympics men’s pole vault finals

EJ Obiena got a spot in the medal round of the Tokyo Olympics men’s pole vault event after making the Top 12 cutoff in the preliminary round on Saturday.
