Each of the 2,346 city government workers here will receive a bonus of PHP25,000 collective negotiation agreement (CNA) incentive on top of their 13th-month pay and Christmas bonus this month.
Geraldine Dela Paz, city budget officer, said Thursday those entitled to receive the CNA incentive are the regular employees, department heads, city councilors, casuals, and contractual employees.
On the other hand, the city government front-liners will also receive hazard pay.
The front-liners include medical and health professionals as well as guards, traffic aides, garbage collectors, and drivers, among others.
However, she said an employee must have been working for four months with the city government to be entitled to receive the CNA incentive.
On Tuesday, the city council has approved during its regular session the PHP500-million 2021 second supplemental budget that includes the allocation of over PHP119 million for CNA incentive and hazard pay.
Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Rommel Agan said the PHP58.6 million of the PHP119 million is for the grant of the CNA incentive, while the remaining PHP61.3 million is for the hazard pay.
“I advise the recipients of the incentive and hazard pay to spend wisely when they receive their benefits,” Agan said.
The CNA incentive is given based on the savings of the city government which comes from traveling expenses, communication expenses, repairs and maintenance, transportation and delivery expenses, supplies and materials, and utility expenses without hampering the operation of the office.
The CNA incentive will be released no earlier than December 15.
