Rains continue to prevail over most of PH Friday

Most parts of the country will experience rains due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao, a weather forecaster said Friday.

It will be rainy, and thunderstorms are likely in Palawan, Shelly Ignacio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms will be experienced for a short period.

Heavy rains may be experienced over the Visayas and Mindanao, according to Ignacio. “Take precautions against flooding and landslides,” she said.

PAGASA forecasts flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.

Light to moderate seas and slight to moderate seas are forecast to prevail over the entire archipelago.

Meanwhile, Ignacio said PAGASA does not see a weather disturbance that may affect the country for the next three days.
