Dumaguete residents urged to avail of Comelec satellite list-up

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) in this capital city of Negros Oriental is inviting the public to avail of the second round of satellite registration for voters at the Robinsons Place mall here on Tuesday.

An announcement from the Comelec-Dumaguete Office said this will be “open to all” registrants, unlike previous satellite registrations held in the different barangays which prioritized elderlies and persons with disabilities.

On Saturday, the poll body here held its first mall-based satellite registration in the city up for the May 2022 elections.

Records at the local Comelec office show that from April to June this year, four barangays have been catered to in the satellite list-up.

A total of 2,010 applicants were registered in the villages of Cadawinonan, Camanjac, Bajumpandan, and Mangnao.
