CSC pen and paper exam per agency set July 18

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) will resume the conduct of its Career Service Examination Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) since its cancellation in 2020 due to the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

CSC Commissioner Aileen Lizada confirmed the CSE-PPT will be held nationwide per agency on Sunday.

“This is the first pen and paper exams since the cancellation of two tests in 2020,” Lizada said in a statement on Friday.

A total of 10,369 individuals will take the test, with 7,977 for the Professional Career Service and 2,392 for the Sub-professional level.

In the National Capital Region, 9,073 employees from 35 government agencies will be taking the examination.

Of the 35 government agencies, the Department of Education has the most number of employees with 960, followed by the Manila International Airport Authority with 883, and Land Transportation Office with 712.

The examination in 18 testing centers in select regions is on hold until further notice in compliance with health protocols and community quarantines due to surge in Covid-19 cases.

The CSE-PPT is deferred in Region I (San Fernando City, La Union, and Vigan City), Region VI (Bacolod City; Kalibo, Aklan; Iloilo City; Jordan, Guimaras; Roxas City; and San Jose, Antique), Region VII (Dumaguete City), Region IX (Zamboanga City; Pagadian City; Dipolog City; and Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay); Region XI (Davao City; Tagum City; and Mati City); and Region XII (Koronadal City and General Santos City).

The CSC reminds examinees to wear mask, face shield, and identification card, and be at the assigned testing center not later than 6:30 a.m.

Examinees should be in proper attire. Those who will wear sleeveless shirts or blouses, shorts, ripped jeans, and slippers will not be allowed into the examination venues.
