The total number of individuals who have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Caraga went up to 35,739 after the region logged 314 new recoveries, the Department of Health (DOH-13) said Friday.
In a statement, the DOH-13 also reported the 458 new infections that pushed the total number of Covid-19 cases in the region to 43,657.
“Caraga Region, as of Friday, has 6,504 remaining active cases,” the agency said.
Twelve new deaths were also recorded on Thursday that brought the total number of Covid-19-related deaths in the region to 1,414.
The highest number of new cases recorded on Thursday in the provinces was in Agusan del Sur with 91, Surigao del Sur, 73; Surigao del Norte, 52; Agusan del Norte, 47; and the Province of Dinagat Islands with five.
Among the cities in the region, 81 new cases were logged here, 38 in Bayugan, 32 in Bislig, 17 in Cabadbaran, 11 in Tandag, and 11 in Surigao.
