902K Zambo City folk get Covid-19 vax

A total of 901,940 individuals here have received their coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines, the city health office (CHO) reported Thursday.

Data released by the CHO on Wednesday night showed that 567,408 individuals or 81.67 percent of the target eligible population of 694,696 have received their first dose.

The first dose vaccinees are as follows: workers in front-line health services (A1), 18,979; senior citizens (A2), 48,445; individuals with comorbidity (A3), 68,828; front-liners in the essential sector (A4), 154,867; indigents (A5), 108,688; rest of the population (ROP), 97,549; pediatrics with comorbidity, 1,556; and, rest of the pediatric population (ROPP), 68,496.

Some 334,532 individuals, or 48.15 percent of the target eligible population of 694,696, got their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and were considered fully vaccinated.

The second dose vaccinees are 17,551, A1; 38,074, A2; 70,033, A3; 101,751, A4; 70,122, A5; 20,145, ROP; 603, pediatrics with comorbidity; and, 16,253, ROPP.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said the city government is pursuing the vaccination rollout to boost the inoculation of the eligible population and achieve population protection against Covid-19.

Salazar said they are targeting to fully vaccinate 50 percent of the target eligible population by December 15.

“Let us get vaccinated so that we will have a happy Christmas in the city,” Salazar said in a statement.
